  • Description

    The "Taka - Master of the Hunt" shirt features an intricate design of a hawk on a hunt in the woods. This shirt originated from the Watumull's East India Store in Honolulu, founded by the Indian immigrant G.J. Watumull. Designed by his sister-in-law, Elsie Jensen, she was one of the first to incorporate tropical and Hawaiian themed patterns into Aloha shirts. The Sun Surf Special Edition shirts closely replicate the original vintage shirts: from the original brand label, to the pattern and sewing as well as the fabric quality and texture matching. Made from Rayon crepe, a soft, slightly wrinkled fabric, this fabric is cooling to the skin and has moisture wicking properties.
