The Snipes Shirt is a modern take on one of the earliest full button-front U.S. Army uniform shirts, first introduced in 1933 under Spec No. 8-26C. Originally issued to Army, Air Corps, and CCC personnel, the “coat style” design marked a shift from the old pullover wool shirts of WWI. Mister Freedom reinterprets that utilitarian classic with thoughtful precision: a full six-button front, unstructured one-piece collar, and two large chest pockets with pen slots. Reinforced elbows, rounded tails, and chainstitch construction speak to the same balance of durability and craft found in early workwear. Cut and sewn in Japan from a premium 11oz 2×1 selvedge denim, the shirt is finished with black corozo cat-eye buttons, red bartack details, and tonal stitching.
