  • Description

    The Ranchclad is Stevenson's take on the classic Type-II denim jacket, with some distinct and refined adjustments that really set it apart from other interpretations of the style. The Ranchclad keeps the hallmarks of the mid-century silhouette—dual front pockets, knife pleats, and waist adjusters—but the way they're handled on this jacket is really quite unique.

    The most immediate difference is the pocket shape, cut angular which gives the jacket more of a western flair. The waist adjusters are intricately integrated into the pattern, sewn directly between the front pockets and the rear side-panels creating a clean and considered silhouette. The detail that is perhaps most special, and also the easiest to miss on first glance is the way those pleats are stitched down: a continuous single-needle stitching that secures the front pleats in one unbroken line.

    The Ranchclad is cut from a 12oz selvedge denim from Japan, woven exclusively from extra long staple cotton yarns. The result is a fabric with a lot of texture that is also supremely comfortable from the start.

    Shrinkage expected: Length 1.5% / Width 1.25%. Cut with a touch of room, this jacket will fit close to tag size after initial wash.
