    One of the most ubiquitous pieces of headwear among USAAF ground crews during WW2, the A-3 is a distinct, short brimmed hat that's endlessly style-able and ripe for customization. Not content to do a straight forward reproduction, Papa Nui takes the original A-3 and brings it to the next level. Built in Japan in collaboration with John Lofgren Bootmaker, the Papa Nui A-3 features new visor modifications and an added Army Duck cloth in the liner, and is made with Japanese made herringbone twill.

    • To stretch, cold water soak or wash, towel dry then place over knee to vigorously pull and rotate until desired sizing is achieved, normally 1-1.5cm, wear until dry
    • To shrink, sometimes a warm water soak is sufficient but if more shrinkage is desired follow "Papa's pot cap soup method": Boil cap for 2 minutes, towel dry and check size, if extra shrinkage is desired place in hot clothes dryer, maximum shrinkage is usually 1- 1.5cm
