    A variation on Papa Nui's first hat, the Corsair, the Hell Cat is the result of endless tweaking and fine tuning. The Hell Cat gets its name from the Grumman F6F, a fighter plane that flew missions in the pacific theater. Made in Japan in collaboration with John Lofgren Bootmaker, the Hell Cat sports Japanese milled herringbone twill with a WW2 USMC Frogskin Camo print. The Hell Cat is deep and balanced through the crown so as not to create a pinch at the top. The visor is 3 1/4” long, wide and square and takes its shape directly from period USN caps. The cap is built super tough, with an unstructured bill that can be manipulated for your needs.

    • To stretch, cold water soak or wash, towel dry then place over knee to vigorously pull and rotate until desired sizing is achieved, normally 1-1.5cm, wear until dry
    • To shrink, sometimes a warm water soak is sufficient but if more shrinkage is desired follow "Papa's pot cap soup method": Boil cap for 2 minutes, towel dry and check size, if extra shrinkage is desired place in hot clothes dryer, maximum shrinkage is usually 1- 1.5cm
