An amalgamation of vintage French hunting boots and old school American work boots, the Sportif combines classic European construction and aesthetics with the iconic Moc toe. Built from ultra-soft French calfskin, these boots are perfectly comfortable from the jump, a welcome change for those accustomed to lengthy break-in processes. The leather has been hill-dyed black, and will reveal a rich brown undertone as it ages.
The sole in particular utilizes methods that hark back to traditional cordwaining. The tread is fashioned with a Goodyear welt and, the McKay method recreates the style of a spade sole with a narrow beveled waist.
