Description

The S510HX is a nod to the denim of the late 40s to the early 50s, a period many consider to be the peak of denim construction. This version is a slightly modified version of Samurai's' S510 straight fit, with a little more room around the hips and a slight taper below the knee. The all the stitching is based of period correct historical pieces to include cotton threads, thread colors, needle/stitch counts, stitch widths, and top button chainstitch runoff. The 15oz Otokogi denim is made from short fibered Texas cotton that's uneven, textured, and slubby to start. The tension of the weave has been tuned up, and after wash the denim becomes stiffer and tighter resulting in higher contrast fading.
