Ginew
The brand Ginew is the first Native American-owned denim brand that focuses on "Minobimaadiziiwin" or "to live well". Ginew uses contemporary Native American style with Ojibwa, Oneida, and Stockbridge-Munsee design to create heirloom-quality products, all made in the USA.
Founded by husband and wife duo Erik Brodt and Amanda Bruegl, the idea of Ginew started with making belts from their wedding buffalo which was hunted, prepared, tanned, and hand-dyed by their family members. They have since grown the brand and are now creating a full line of selvedge denim, tops and jackets, blankets, and bandanas. All incorporating their family, shared experiences, and Native American symbols and teachings in every product.
