When fashion icon Princess Diana wore a Philadelphia Eagles Kelly green varsity jacket, it became an instant international fashion statement. The jacket was made for her at the behest of then-owner of the Eagles, Leonard Tose, and became one of Princess Di's most casual, and coveted looks. This year marks the return of the beloved kelly green jersey to the Philadelphia Eagles. What better way to commemorate this event, and pay homage to the iconic style of Princess Diana, then with our limited release of the Dehen 1920 x Franklin & Poe Varsity Jacket – Princess Diana Edition.
We worked with Dehen 1920 to create a varsity jacket paying homage to the Princess Diana Eagles version. The body is made of a 24oz melton wool in kelly green, while the sleeves are a melton wool in grey. We have faithfully reproduced the kelly green/white/grey trim on the sleeves and waist, while maintaining the roll-neck collar – what Dehen varsity jackets are known for. This jacket is finished with white snaps and two color matching handwarmer pockets.
