    The Iron Heart Whipcord N1 Deck Jacket may take its origins from the 1940's US Navy version, but this one is clearly all Iron Heart. For the first time, Iron Heart is releasing an oiled version of their N1 jacket, improving the water-resistance of the jacket. The heavy oiling with a urethane/paraffin mix increased the weight of N1, from 12oz to 14oz, and gives it a softer hand than normal waxed jackets. The interior has an alpaca/wool mix lining and even the pockets are lined with alpaca. All the historical details of the N1 jacket are here, but updated and improved upon by Iron Heart engineering. For this iteration, Iron Heart has added an interlining to the collar and tweaked the pocket placement ever so slightly.
